"I feel stronger in my body and in myself. Emma is a patient, inspiring teacher, and I love that we're on this journey together."
— Thea Wakeling, Chef and mother of three
Why I’m so passionate about this
I was nearly floored by perimenopause. I had loads of physical symptoms, but it was the rage and anxiety that tipped me over the edge.
I felt like I was cracking up, and wherever I turned for help, my concerns about perimenopause were brushed away.
I'm on HRT now and have built up a little life raft of support for myself.
I've adapted my yoga practice, made small changes to my diet, and become more intentional about what I give my energy to.
And in that way, perimenopause has forced a kind of reckoning for me which, while deeply uncomfortable, has also been really clarifying.
A quietly radical story
Perimenopause and the menopause are often framed in terms of loss and difficulty, but the data tells a quietly radical story.
Did you know that the peak age for women filing for divorce in the UK is 40–44? Or that women over 50 are now the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs in the country.
This is the life stage in which enormous numbers of us are reassessing, reinventing, and redirecting.
Leaving behind what no longer serves us and building something of our own.
There’s an incredible strength to this. And that’s what I want to share.
join me and move through this time with strength, courage, and the confidence to feel yourself again.
FAQs

Yes of course - beginners or people who’ve not done much yoga for a while are always welcome with me.
We all started somewhere so please don’t let that hold you back.
Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practising for years, you’ll be guided with clear options throughout.
-
Please do not worry at all. We all have different bodies with different needs. I always teach the people in front of me, tailoring the class to suit you.
It would be great if you could tell me any concerns you have in advance, but I always start with a check-in so that I can offer options throughout the class as needed too.

I will provide the basics: our mats, some yoga belts and eye pillows. You might like to bring a small cushion to sit on at points and a blanket for relaxation but those are nice-to-haves rather than things you must pack.
-
The streets around the venue are free to park on at this time of night. Brook Street car park (3-4 mins away) is also open and free at that time.Item description

I really want to work with everyone as a group, and build on what we learn together.
Drop-ins work for general classes, but I’m running this as a block booking to help us all get as much as we can from the classes.
If you have to miss the odd class that’s fine, and if you find out about it late I may be able to make an exception so do get in touch - but generally this is not going to be for drop-ins.
